Time & Location

Time is TBD

Roseville, 118 Harding Blvd, Roseville, CA 95678, USA

About the event

For grades K-12

Length: 3 hours

The Elementary School Education Program at iFLY uses iFLY’s unique vertical wind tunnel facility to make STEM exciting, relevant, and accessible to students.

Field trip includes:

Interactive STEM presentation, delivered by iFLY STEM Educator

Physics demonstration in the wind tunnel

Classroom experiment to investigate the effects of parachute parameters on flight performance

Flying instruction & safety training

Flying time, with one-on-one supervision from a highly-trained and certified instructor

The educator introduces the science, engineering, and math concepts involved with flying in vertical wind tunnels and skydiving.

The group will be walked through a hands-on investigation where each student will practice

science process skills such as measurement and analyzing data.

Each student gets a turn one-on-one flying with a certified world-class iFLY Flight Instructor.

During the demo, students see how various balls and other objects behave in the wind tunnel and are asked to predict in which order the items will fly with increased wind speeds due to their size, weight, shape and surface area.

The educator reviews STEM trends, careers and answers any outstanding student questions.

Space is limited to 20 students. Chaperones can fly too for the same student price. If you are a chaperone and are interested in flying, please make sure you purchase a ticket for your student and one for yourself. If you do not wish to fly there is no cost to you.

$68 per child/chaperone.
