This relaxed and scenic 7-mile roundtrip journey departs the Depot in downtown Fort Bragg year-round, traveling along the beautiful Pudding Creek Estuary and passing into primeval ancient redwoods to the tranquil setting of Glen Blair Junction.
Trains will stop at Glen Blair Junction for roughly 30 minutes, allowing you to get off and stretch your legs and explore. Or, if you’d like to spend more time walking our trails amongst the redwoods, you can remain and catch the next train (roughly two hours later). Plenty of time to explore. Feel free to bring a packed lunch (no alcohol, please) to enjoy at one of our picnic tables.
Pudding Creek Express
Enjoy a scenic 90-minute, 7-mile, round trip along the beautiful Pudding Creek Estuary – home to blue herons, ospreys, egrets, and more. This short trip departs from our Fort Bragg depot, with a brief stop at Glen Blair Junction. It’s a great way to spend the morning or early afternoon.

Pulled by the Chiggen, an authentic, historic California Steam Locomotive, you can step back in time weekends this August and September.

Wolf Tree Turn (Seasonal)
Enjoy a 2-hour, 16-mile round-trip ride from Willits to the summit of the line at 1,740 feet. Travel through Tunnel #2 and descend into the redwood-filled Noyo River Canyon. The train stops at Crowley, where you can step off to see the famous Wolf Tree, one of the oldest and most iconic along the route.

The Pumpkin Express (Seasonal)
This autumn, take a trip into the heart of the redwoods to our magical pumpkin patch wonderland!You'll enjoy seasonal treats on board the train, adult beverages for the parents, and when you arrive to Crowley, you'll have the opportunity to walk the pumpkin patch, explore the nearby redwoods, take photos, and choose your very own pumpkin to bring back on the train with you.
