About B Bryan Preserve

B Bryan Preserve, located in Point Arena, is a private wildlife preserve dedicated to the conservation of African hoofed animals. The preserve offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about and interact with various species of endangered and threatened animals in a beautiful and natural setting.
 

Historical Overview

  • Foundation: Established in 2004 by Dr. Frank and Judy Mello, B Bryan Preserve was created to aid in the conservation of African hoofed animals, many of which are threatened or endangered in the wild. The preserve's mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these species while educating the public about conservation efforts.

 

Car Safaris

Self-guided car tours

Enjoy a visit from the safety and comfort of your own vehicle. You will be given a map at the tour barn and sent on a safari in your own vehicle. You will be able to follow the map and stop at the different enclosures to see the animals. The tour ends with a feeding of the giraffe. Tour takes approximately 30 minutes.

Guests are NEVER allowed to leave their vehicle except at the giraffe feeding.

No pets allowed. No RVs or motorcycles.

Please be on time.

Guided Tours

Ride in open air vintage LR on a 1 ½ hour tour. You will have an experienced guide to teach you everything you could possible want to know about our various African hoof stock as we get out at each enclosure to get you as close as we safely can. The tour ends with a giraffe feeding and informational lecture.

RULES

  • No pets allowed (including left inside your parked car—please leave your dog at home).

Tours are held rain, sun or wind. Unless it is a major Pacific storm, the tour will go on. 

For your comfort, bring a jacket. The fog and wind can descend upon Point Arena in minutes and become chilly. Comfortable walking shoes are also recommended. Expect some mud during the winter.
