Get ready for an exciting adventure at the California Raptor Center! Our field trip will immerse students in their Education Program, where they'll discover the fascinating world of raptors and their habitats, inspiring appreciation, respect, and protection for these majestic birds. The 1½ to 2-hour program kicks off with an interactive presentation on local raptors, delving into their rehabilitation, biology, adaptations, conservation, and species identification. Students will then get hands-on with talons, bones, feathers, and taxidermied birds, followed by an up-close tour of the non-releasable raptors and their personal stories. The visit wraps up with an engaging museum experience and a fun "Adopt-A-Bird" activity, making this a memorable and educational adventure for all!

This field trip is for 2nd grade and up. Younger siblings will need to remain home.
