About the event
Join us for a night of discovery at the Placerville Community Observatory!
We’ll begin with a presentation led by expert docents, who will walk us through the night sky - explaining visible stars, planets, constellations, and fascinating space science. Students will also have the opportunity to observe the night sky through powerful telescopes, with volunteers on hand to help identify celestial objects and answer questions.
Because it’s a new moon, the sky will be at its darkest - allowing us to see significantly more stars than usual, including faint constellations and deep-sky wonders not typically visible.
This hands-on, awe-inspiring experience is perfect for students of all ages and will ignite a lifelong curiosity about the universe!
