“Sha la la, Joseph, you’re doing fine! You and your dreamcoat, ahead of your time!” CYT proudly presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a vibrant reimagining of the story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the iconic coat of many colors.

Told entirely through song with the help of the Narrator, the musical follows Joseph, the favored son. After being sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, Joseph earns the favor of Egyptian noble Potiphar but ends up in jail after rejecting the advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his gift for interpreting dreams, which soon brings him before the Elvis-inspired Pharaoh. Joseph's insights help solve Egypt’s famine crisis, elevating him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and eventually reuniting him with his family.
